Ladies' swinging 60's soiree

The BandThis year's January Ladies' Social evening, organised by Lady Captain, Karen Forbes, was a 60's night when we were encouraged to dress in 1960's gear. Some of us tried to remain incognito. Here you see Karen with her band, drummer and guitarist who accompanied the stars of the night and Singalongabearsdengolfclub songs.

Famous female vocalists

Captain Karen invited along some well known female vocalists to entertain us. There was Dusty Springfield (Anne Nicoll) Marlene Dietrich (Irene McLennan) and Petula Clark (Helen Kinsella) They were ably accommpanied by the band.

More Vocalists

Here are Mary Hopkin (Helen) and friend Lynn entertaining us and Shirley Bassey (Elaine Thomson) strutting  her stuff. while the ABBA girls (Adrienne MacLagan & Maureen Cochrane) encourage us to sing along.

Can you recognise these ladies?!

Schoolgirl of the 60's

Who would have thought that someone would still have her school uniform and that it would still fit her, but Christine Taggart has. Resplendent in her Laurelbank colours and if you can see the date, it is 1960. Well done Christine!

The prizewinners were Christine, Aileen Murison (see above) and Mollie (below)

A great time was had by all who attended the evening.
